DR CONGO SEMINAR

There is a lot more (and worse) things happening in DR Congo than a trial against two Norgwegians. The UN Students Hordaland and The UN Association of Norway - Western Branch therefore invite everyone who is interested to learn more about the situation in the country to a seminar on the 21st of October.

Professor Thorkild Tylleskär from Center for International Health has extensive experience from the region, and will give an introduction to the situation in the country, and shed some light on the many difficult aspects of the conflict. This is a great opportunity to understand more about DR Congo, which despite vast economic resources, is one of the poorest countries in the world.

The conflict in DR Congo is also the subject of this autumn's Model UN for students in Bergen, hosted by The UN Association on October 28th, as a part of the programme of the International Week. There will be given information about the Model UN after Professor Tylleskär's lecture.
